These resources are designed to assist health organisations, their workforce and their consumers in implementing effective antimicrobial stewardship practices. The Commission’s Antimicrobial Stewardship in Australian Health Care (AMS Book) was first published in 2018.
Are antimicrobial stewardship actions included in the preventing & controlling infections standard?
Please note that revised antimicrobial stewardship actions are included in the Preventing and Controlling Infections Standard, which was released in May 2021. This version of the Standard supersedes the 2017 Preventing and Controlling Healthcare-Associated Infection Standard.
