My Aged Care is a contact centre and website which serves as the starting point for access to government-subsidised aged care services. Access to My Aged Care can be gained by self-referral, or requests from carers or health and aged care professionals.

Residential aged care for those who can no longer live independently at home. Continue to design sound policy and deliver a range of services to support independence and wellness for older Australians, including providing aged care information and assessment of needs through My Aged Care.

Where can I find information about aged care services?

Visit the My Aged Care website to find information about how to access aged care services. You can apply for an assessment online and search for local aged care providers that meet your needs. You can also call 1800 200 422 Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm, and Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm. Learn about the COVID-19 vaccine program for aged care.

How can I help with my health care as I get older?

We can help with the costs of your health care as you get older. We also offer support for carers. Aged care doesn’t have to mean you stop being independent and active. If you plan for it in advance, you can make informed choices about what suits you. It’s important to find out what the options are and discuss them with your family.
