Peramivir is a neuraminidase inhibitor, acting as a transition-state analogue inhibitor of influenza neuraminidase and thereby preventing new viruses from emerging from infected cells.
What are the side effects of peramivir?

Peramivir is used to treat influenza in adults and children who are at least 2 years old, who have had flu symptoms for up to 2 days.
Does peramivir prevent bacterial infections?
Peramivir injection helps shorten the time that flu symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, cough, muscle or joint aches, tiredness, headache, fever, and chills last. Peramivir injection will not prevent bacterial infections, which may occur as a complication of the flu. How should this medicine be used?
